Celiac Illness Consciousness Week

This week is the week of Celiac Disease Awareness.

Celiac disease is a lifelong autoimmune disease that is caused by the immune system that responds to gluten.

Symptoms include digestive problems, fatigue, and sometimes an itchy rash (known as dermatitis herpetiformis), but diagnosis can be difficult.

It is believed that only 24% of people have been diagnosed, but 1 in 100 people have the condition, including our PR manager Flo.

<p> 18 months ago I was diagnosed with celiac disease after feeling frustratingly like garbage. In short, I feel a lot better now! </p>
<p> I have always loved cooking, so I did not consider it hard to stick to a very strict gluten-free diet – rather as an opportunity to experiment seriously with food! </p>
<p> From the gluten-free bread recipes that actually work (I avoid gluten-free bread as much as possible in the store) to the best gluten-free spaghetti (Dove & # 39; s Farm Brown Rice Spaghetti), I have picked up many good tips by trying and Mistake! "</p>
