Completely satisfied Earth Day!

Earth Day is celebrated annually on April 22nd worldwide as a day to celebrate the environment and raise awareness of environmental issues.

At Pai, we are committed to reducing our impact on the earth – every day.

Here are some of the things we're doing right now:

  1. With our Soil Association certification, we source ingredients that are grown according to biological standards – without the use of pesticides and solvents. This also means that all ingredients have to be sustainable. help us invest in local communities and prevent overbuilding. Organic farming promotes various ecosystems, so that wildlife can thrive naturally with significantly more birds, plant species and pollinators (bees and butterflies) than non-organic farming. It also means that we never use endangered plant species like rosewood essential oil to preserve and protect the valuable remaining sources.
  2. Instead of transporting heavy pallets of double distilled water from other parts of the country, we have invested in a customized water filter system. This system reduces our water consumption by 50% per year and uses 80% less energy than some systems. This also enables us to recycle part of the wastewater – which means that we manufacture your products more efficiently and in an environmentally friendly manner.
  3. We do our best to avoid plastic in the entire range – if possible we choose glass (52% of the range is in glass packaging). Where we need to use plastic, we use hDPE and polypropylene, both of which are recyclable.

While PET is the most easily recyclable plastic, there are concerns about the migration of BPA (a potential hormone disruptor) into the product. We don't think we can take that risk. That is why all our plastic packaging is BPA-free.

Our 200 ml cleaning tubes are now made from 100% biodegradable and renewable sugar cane bioplastic.

The packaging chips used in boxes are called EcoFlo chips and are made from corn starch. They are 100% biodegradable and 100% compostable.

Environmental protection is the right thing – and also helps us sleep at night!
