Skin care

Is your skin care genetically modified?

We love how savvy Pai customers are with ingredients – and one question we are often asked is whether Pai products contain genetically modified extracts.

Although we are all very familiar with the concept of genetically modified food, it is a process that is rarely associated with the beauty industry.

However, there are various cosmetic ingredients that can come from genetically modified sources, and although we don't take them directly, some people may want to avoid them if possible.

According to Cosmeticsinfo.org:

"Cosmetic ingredients that may come from genetically modified organisms include ingredients such as corn oil, corn flour, soybean oil, lecithin and proteins produced by yeast."

If in doubt, choose a product with an organic certification mark.

Because Pai is certified by the Soil Association, you can guarantee that absolutely none of our products contain genetically modified ingredients.

Our goal is to keep things as clean as possible!
