May bee pollen assist with allergic reactions?

Bee Pollen "width =" 275 "height =" 274 "/> I recently read about bee pollen on the great food blog My New Roots.

Apparently, these small golden grains are a high-energy, complete food that amazingly contains almost every nutrient that the human body needs to survive.

They are also a great source of enzymes, proteins and contain all 22 amino acids – essential for skin health as they help repair and stimulate new cell growth.

But what I really noticed is that they are a very rich source of quercitin – the naturally occurring antihistamine that I used to treat my urticaria.

Quercitin is known for its ability to neutralize or reduce the body's histamine response – a common cause of allergic reactions.

Sarah Britton, the cook and nutritionist behind My New Roots, recommends adding bee pollen to a morning smoothie or sprinkling it over cereal.

Are you going to try?
