And how is it different from other products?
What does a serum, a serum do?
Serums are our most targeted, active and result-oriented products and were developed as specific solutions for skin prone to drying out, reddening or blemishes.
Serum vs Moisturizer
Serums are lighter and more fluid than moisturizers and contain highly concentrated active ingredients whose molecules are much smaller than those in creams or lotions. The formula can release these high-performance ingredients much further into the skin. Our Back To Life Hydration Serum, for example, is a moisturizing facial serum – and the ingredient that it delivers deep into the skin is hyaluronic acid, which can absorb 1000 times its weight in water and help bind it to the skin, which makes it a genius active ingredient for absorption in facial sera.
Moisturizers are thicker and creamier than serums and usually contain a higher concentration of oils that tend to apply to the surface of the skin, thereby preventing water loss. To address a difficult skin problem, we recommend using your moisturizer and a high quality natural facial serum for sensitive skin.
How do they fit into my own skin care?
Apply your serum to dry skin at night after cleansing or toner, but before moisturizer or sunscreen. Think of it as taking a dose of really nutritional supplements with your meal and feeding your skin with all the essential nutrients it may lack.
