Skin care

Why is it vital to exfoliate this summer time?

Exactly the things we love about summer time; Spending time in the sun, traveling, etc. are the same reasons we need to improve our scrub game. Sunscreen, hot weather, sweaty sleep, makeup, and all the traveling can make our skin feel like it really needs to be cleaned thoroughly.

If you skip exfoliation entirely, the skin feels dull and clogged, and your favorite moisturizer or facial oil feels less effective because much of the product is absorbed into the skin cells of the dead surface instead.

How should I exfoliate?

Our organic muslin fabric or the textured side of our delicate two-effect skin cloth used with your detergent provides a gentle daily polish.

Our Kukui & Jojoba Pearl Lightening Peeling is a gentle and effective mechanical peeling. The completely spherical jojoba wax pearls remove dead skin cells and help remove impurities that have accumulated on the surface of the skin. The pearls are suspended in Kukui oil to moisturize and care for sensitive skin.

Our Copaiba AHA mask is another very gentle method to effectively exfoliate and clean the skin. Mild AHAs derived from Pink Pomelo will lighten and smooth the skin.

After exfoliation, you should apply our rosehip high-speed jet mask to deeply nourish, repair and moisturize the skin.

How often should I exfoliate?

Every skin is different, but as a rule of thumb we follow this guide:

  1. For hypersensitive skin, once every 7-10 days should be sufficient.
  2. For mild, sensitive and sensitive skin once a week.
  3. For combination skin once or twice a week.
  4. For dry / dehydrated, mature and acne-prone skin twice a week.
